I have a friend, let’s call them Lana (mainly because that is their name), who has a special gift: they seem to be able to see hidden dreams that have yet to come true. Back in 1979, I watched one of the greatest movies of all times: The Muppet Movie. It ends with a song called “The Magic Store,” which talks about the kid who has something inside of them that longs to come out, wants to come out, NEEDS to come out. The Muppets sing about how that kid expresses themselves and ultimately how they make their dreams come true.

I didn’t know Lana in 1979, heck they didn’t even exist in 1979, and yet, somehow they knew that I should write… that I needed to write… and that I needed to get up and share those writings. (They didn’t know that I had secretly written some things over the years and hid them in a drawer). They encouraged me to start a blog, and to get up in front of a few thousand people and speak. And now my dream, and this website along with it, is Movin’ Right Along to borrow another phrase from The Muppet Movie. 

I am officially changing this from a blog to… drum roll please… the website for my work as a Playwright!

I will leave my last 3 blog posts up – at least for a while – as they are relevant to a play I have written and am in the process of submitting for staging now. It’s called All These Truths. I hope to see you all at the theater soon!
